PURPOSE: A metal yarn production method and a metal yarn are provided to increase tensile strength by twisting a grey yarn in one direction and a metal yarn other direction. CONSTITUTION: A metal yarn production method and a metal yarn are comprised of the steps: twisting a grey yarn(11) in one direction by 900-1100 turns; dyeing grey yarn which is produced in twisting; cutting a metal yarn by a certain width; coating the outer circumference of the cut metal yarn; and twisting the metal yarn on the outer circumference of the twisted grey yarn in the other direction.
