PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing ammonium diuranate particles useful for producing fuel kernels for a fuel for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, by which homogeneous ammonium diuranate particles free from deformation or the like can be produced in a high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the ammonium diuranate particles comprises dropping a raw liquid containing uranyl nitrate into an ammonia aqueous solution 9, and is characterized by mixing a residual raw liquid remaining in a raw liquid transporting pipe 5 arranged for dropping the raw liquid into the ammonia aqueous solution 9 in the production of the previous batch with the raw liquid to be used in the production of a new batch. The apparatus for producing the ammonium diuranate particles is characterized by arranging a residual raw liquid receiving vessel 13 for receiving the raw liquid remaining in the raw liquid transporting pipe 5 in the production of the previous batch between a raw liquid dropping vessel 7 and an ammonia aqueous solution storage tank 10, and then providing a residual raw liquid circulating/transporting pipe 15 for circulating and transporting the raw liquid to an raw liquid storage tank 3 by connecting the residual raw liquid receiving vessel 13 and the raw liquid storage tank 3.
