BALLASTING SYSTEM FOR A DRILLING RIG

PURPOSE: A ballasting system for a drilling rig is provided to easily control and maintain the position of a ship by additionally forming a pipe for discharging ballast water. CONSTITUTION: A ballasting system for a drilling rig comprises a ballasting pipeline(22), a de-ballasting pipeline(23), a transfer pump(3), and a de-ballast pump. The ballasting pipeline supplies ballast water to a ballast tank. The de-ballasting pipeline is connected to the bottom of the ballasting tank and discharges the ballast water. A check valve(20) is installed in the de-ballasting pipeline in order to prevent the ballast water from flowing backward. The transfer pump supplies seawater to the ballast tank through the ballasting pipeline. The de-ballast pump discharges the ballast water in the ballast tank to the outside a ship through the de-ballasting pipeline.
