The suspending agent may be a gum, e.g. gum arabic or a polysaccharide in an amount of 0À01-1% by wt. or a clay, e.g. bentonite or ammonium montmorillonite in an amount of 1-5% by wt. The particulate refractory material is preferably alumina of size less than 0À075 mm. but greater than colloidal, but may also be ZrO 2 , zirconia silicate, silica, chromite flour, olivine flour, fireclay or carbon. |
