METHOD FOR REDUCING OVERHEAD BY THE BASE STATION IN IEEE 802. 16J NETWORK

PURPOSE: An overhead reducing method of a base station realizing an IEEE 802.16j technique is provided to refuse a request of scanning and hand overing of a MS except for enabling the MS to materially move. CONSTITUTION: A BS determines whether a MS(Mobile Station) and a link is a RS(Relay Station) for a car which can move the RS(S103). If the MS and the link is the RS for a car which can move the RS, the BS(Base Station) determines whether the MS relatively move about the RS for a car through a signal quality data which receives a report from the MS(S107). If the MS does not relatively moves against the RS for a car, the BS refuses a scanning request of the MS(S111).
