PORTABLE ELETRONIC DEVICE AND ILLUMINATION CONTROLLING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A portable electronic device and an illumination controlling method thereof are provided to illuminate a part of e-paper, thereby saving power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A main body comprises e-paper for displaying visual information. Illumination units(120) are multiply arranged in the main body. One illumination unit operates to form a highlight area. A touch sensor senses touch input of a user. A controller(180) controls the illumination units so that the highlight area successively moves according to the touch input.
