Disclosed are a method and a kit for detecting an anti-Avibacterium paragallinarum antibody. Specifically disclosed are: a method for detecting an anti-Avibacterium paragallinarum antibody, which comprises detecting an antibody induced by a bacterial outer membrane protein of an Avibacterium paragallinarum type-A bacterium and/or an Avibacterium paragallinarum type-C bacterium by ELISA method using a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence for a heterologous region of the outer membrane protein or a part of the heterologous region as an antigen; and a detection kit for use in the method.
