1523790 Swabs LOHMANN GmbH & CO KG 21 Nov 1975 [22 Nov 1974] 47979/75 Heading A5R A swab 10 comprises a single-layer, soft textile sheet which has loops of absorbent fibrous material evenly distributed over both surfaces thereof, the edges of the sheet being bound, and the swab incorporating an X-ray opaque thread 12 therein. A tab 13 is provided at one corner of the swab and holds a metal ring 14. Identifying markings 15 are woven into the sheet or printed thereon. The sheet is woven or knitted and preferably comprises cellulose material and especially terry towelling. The X-ray opaque thread is woven or knitted into the cloth or included in the edge binding. The sheet edges may be bound by stitching or by an edging band. The weight per unit area of the sheet is from 120 to 250 g/m<SP>2</SP>. |
