Metal-reinforced layered composite (11) comprising at least one intermediate metal layer (12), wherein the intermediate metal layer (12) comprises at least two at least partially overlapping metal foils (13, 14) which are joined to one another in the overlap region (15) by at least one weld seam (16), wherein, at the weld seam (16) of the metal foils (13, 14), there are no continuous leakage channels (7) in the longitudinal extent (21) of the overlap region (15), and method of effecting its manufacture. According to the invention, at least one of the weld seams (16) may have a course which at at least one point (P) has a direction component (22) at right angles to the longitudinal direction (21) of the overlap region (15) of the metal foils (13, 14). In the context of the invention provision may further be made for providing the intermediate metal layer (12) with at least one passage (23) in the overlap region (15) of the metal foils (13, 14). |
