PURPOSE: A system and a method for blocking a spam call and a spam authenticating apparatus thereof are provided to filter a spam call in a wire communication terminal using a CID(Calling IDentification) service in a communication network. CONSTITUTION: A receiving terminal(120) extracts an originator phone number from an incoming call. The receiving terminal transmits a spam authentication request message for the extracted originator phone number. A spam authenticating center(150) receives the spam authentication request message through a communication network. The spam authenticating center authenticates a spam of the originator phone number included in the spam authentication request message. The spam authenticating center transmits a spam authentication result message to the receiving terminal through the communication network.
