PURPOSE: A switch gear and a manipulation method thereof are provided to realize the miniaturization by using the ground circuit unit. CONSTITUTION: A switch unit of a switch gear comprises a metal container(31), a vacuum valve(1), a ground circuit unit(10), a bus bushing(40), and a bushing(42). The ground circuit unit maintains the closed state by being separated from the vacuum valve. The metal container prevent the electrifying by being grounded.
