<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using an agonist and an antagonist of IL-23. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for treating tumors, particularly a method for modulating activities of cytokine molecules and receptors of the same. The present invention is based on the finding that the agonist or the antagonist of IL-23 can modulate proliferation of tumors. The present invention relates to the use of cytokine molecules of mammals and related reagents thereof.
