PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of correctly carrying out an inspection, by suppressing the influence of an intervening object exerted on an image, even if the object is inserted in a part of the optical path for photographing an object to be inspected so as to block the light path. SOLUTION: In the inspection device 1, which photographs an image of a bottle 2 in the infrared wavelength range with a camera 11, while illuminating the bottle 2 as an object to be inspected with illuminating light containing infrared light from a lighting device 3, and which inspects the bottle 2 based on the obtained image, a neck holder 50 is inserted in a light path reaching the camera 11 from the lighting device 3, through the bottle 2 so as to partially block the light path and engaged the neck holder 50 with the neck part 2d of the bottle 2 and prevents the bottle 2 from falling.
