PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition including a magnetic shield which is simply manufactured at low cost and low loss, and further has no restrain in its transportation. SOLUTION: A stationary induction appliance includes a tank 1, an appliance body 3 housed in the tank together with an insulating medium and having a winding 5 wound on an iron core 4, a magnetic shield 6 comprising a high magnetic permeability material attached to an inner surface of the tank 1 facing the winding 5 of the electric appliance body 3, and a wire shield 7 to which a wire comprising a high conductivity material is annularly formed and attached to the inner surface of the tank 1 adjacent to the magnetic shield 6 in a range of tank 1 irradiation by the leakage magnetic flux emitted from the winding 5.
