The frame outlines the intersection lines where tubes, cones, spheres and planes may be joined at different angles to each other, and allows one of the components to be simulated. The frame consists of two uprights (19) carrying a ring (84) at about mid length, which supports a freely turning inner ring (83). This inner ring carries cross rails (81) which support a slide (80) which, in turn, drives a pointer mechanism (85, 86, 57, 58, 59). The pointer (59) scribes a line on one of the components (16) which is clamped between jaws (27, 28) on a cross rail (23, 24) connecting the tops of the uprights. Vertical drive for the pointer is via a rod (79) passing through the slide (80) and having its lower end connected through a universal joint (77, 78) to another slide (77).
|
