PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for supporting a planter prop free from the need of punching a hole on the bottom wall of a planter, usable even if the size of a planter changes, and easily supporting a prop set up on a planter, and to provide a cultivation device. SOLUTION: The tool 10 for supporting a planter prop, formed by folding a metal wire rod, includes a reversed-U shape string hanging part 11 made of right and left vertical members and a bent part near the upper edges thereof, and an interposing part 12 folded forward and upward each from both the lower edges of the string hanging part, and elastically interposing a flange 16 of a planter 14 between the string hanging part. The cultivation device 21 is formed by attaching several tools 10 to the flange 16 of the planter 14, and connecting props 19 set on soil 20 put into the planter 14 to the tools 10 with a string 18.
