<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-quality label recording on a label recording surface of an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device enabling label recording by irradiating a label recording surface different from a disk recording surface of the optical disk with an optical beam includes a rotating means for rotating the optical disk and a position detecting means for detecting a position of the optical beam to irradiate the optical disk in the radial direction, and exerts control to keep constant a peripheral velocity of the optical disk by the rotating means at an optional position in the radial direction of the optical disk based on the detected output of the position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
