<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touchless gate device capable of carrying out gate processing such as a fare reception and access control, by passing only a passage without requiring a special operation by a radio IC tag owner. <P>SOLUTION: The touchless gate device 21A or the like includes information transmitting and receiving units 61, 62 for forming the passage with a passing person passed therethrough, and for transmitting and receiving information to/from a radio IC tag 13-1 of the passing person, a decision unit 66 for determining the propriety of permission about passage of the passing person, based on information obtained from the radio IC tag of the passing person through the information transmitting and receiving units, and a control unit 54 for controlling an operation of a door 52 or the like, based on a determination result from the decision unit. The touchless gate device includes further a communication system set with a communication distance to send/receive information between the radio IC tag and an antenna unit 25 of the information transmitting and receiving unit, without requiring the special operation by the passing person.
