PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording head selectable of all temperature sensors at high speed without greatly increasing the size of an element substrate, even if the number of temperature sensors is about the same as the number of driving elements. SOLUTION: In the recording head, nozzles are divided into N pieces of groups, with M pieces of nozzles driven in time-division manner, and with a plurality of driving elements wired in a manner determining simultaneous driven units of the nozzles among the N pieces of groups, wherein the recording head is equipped with temperature detecting elements arranged immediately above or immediately below the driving elements. For the purpose of detecting the temperature information of all nozzles at high speed, the pattern with the shift register group and the decoder group connected with a serial data line is determined in accordance with the number M of simultaneous drives of the driving elements and the number L of addresses of the decoders.
