PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale removal device which can remove scale generated on a cathode without using a large amount of a washing liquid and prevent water in a water storage tank from being contaminated with the washing liquid. SOLUTION: The washing liquid 30 in a washing liquid recovery tank 9 is sucked and introduced into a washing liquid outflow portion 6 by driving a pump 8. The washing liquid 30 introduced into the washing liquid outflow portion 6 is dropped down from a plurality of holes 6a to be added to the exposed surface toward the water surface in a water storage tank 1, included in the exposed surface of the cathode 4. Scale generated by the washing liquid 30 on the exposed surface of the cathode 4 is dissolved by the washing liquid 30 added to the exposed surface. The washing liquid 30 is wiped off by a washing liquid collection portion 7 disposed below the washing liquid outflow portion 6, and flows into a washing liquid collection tank 9 through a groove 7a of the washing liquid collection portion 7.
