The invention relates to a method for the energy-optimized extraction of ammonia salts from fluids comprising ammoniac or ammonia compounds, such as liquid manure, biogas plant effluents, or municipal and industrial wastewaters or products. According to the invention, the liquid phase is subjected to a desorber-stripping process, wherein exhaust vapors are fed in opposite flow in the stripping column, and the vapor flow enriched here with ammoniac is further washed in an absorption stage by means of an aqueous solution comprising acids and/or salts, in particular sulfuric acid ammonium sulfate solution, in order to fully convert ammoniac to ammonium salt. The temperature of the absorption solution is thereby maintained in such a range that at least part of the water vapor present in the vapor flow escapes.
