OXYNITRIDE-BASED PHOSPHORS COMPOSING OF SION ELEMENT FOR WHITE LEDS, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND LEDS USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A SiON-based oxynitride phosphor is provided to selectively express a desired light emitting center wavelength in three primary colors of green-yellow-red and to ensure excellent light emitting characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a SiON-based oxynitride phosphor comprises the steps of: (i) weighting metal salts consisting of Si ion, Eu ion, and divalent metallic ion of alkaline earth metal of at least one selected from the group consisting of Ra, Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg and Be and mixing the materials to prepare raw material salts; and (ii) heat-treating the mixed raw material salts in a reducing atmosphere controlled by 100-250 sccm of reducing gas at 1300-1400 °C to prepare a phosphor which selectively emits green-yellow lights.
