PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated optical fiber wherein a glass fiber and a non-removable ultraviolet-curing resin layer adjacent to the glass fiber are not exfoliated even by shearing, especially, a coated optical fiber having such characteristics, and properly usable for optical wiring in an apparatus or between apparatuses. SOLUTION: In this coated optical fiber having a non-removable protection coating layer formed in contact with the glass fiber on the outer circumferential surface of the glass fiber formed of a core part and a cladding part, the protection coating layer is a layer formed by curing an ultraviolet curing resin composition containing an amine-based monomer of 3-20 pts.wt. and a silane coupling agent of 0.5-2 pts.wt. as a quantity to a base resin of 100 pts.wt.
