PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern group with which a half tone image is displayed with high picture quality with FRC by suppressing occurrence of flicker and color unevenness in a display device to display an image with FRC; and also to provide a display method, and a display control circuit. SOLUTION: A half tone of (N-M) bits (M≤N-2) is artificially displayed with frame rate control on a display device having pixels, composed of sub-images of three primary colors aligned in a lateral direction, aligned in longitudinal and lateral directions and having a display gray scale of M bits by using a pattern group. The pattern group includes a plurality of patterns representing respective first to (2<SP>(N-M)</SP>-1)th half tones formed by setting two pixels adjacent to each other in the lateral direction as a set, in a pixel block with the sets longitudinally and laterally arranged with a predetermined number, and making gray scales of the two pixels constituting each set identical to each other.
