PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting a body height of a rotary kiln capable of automatically adjusting the body height of the rotary kiln without stopping the rotary kiln. SOLUTION: The device for adjusting the body height of the rotary kiln having the body 12 with a tire 14 rotated and supported by rollers 16a, 16b includes: a first peripheral length measuring means 20; a laser distance meter 36 for measuring the tire outer peripheral face height; hydraulic cylinders 40a-40d for sliding bearings 18a-18d of the rollers 16a, 16b toward a frame center; and a control part 52 calculating the tire center height calculated from a measurement value by the laser distance meter 36 and a measurement value by the first peripheral length measuring means 20 when the measurement value by the laser distance meter 36 reaches a predetermined correction requiring value and operating the hydraulic cylinders 40a-40d so that the tire center height becomes within a range of predetermined appropriate value.
