PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air treatment device for a kitchen discharging air to an indoor side or an outdoor side in accordance with an air conditioning load. SOLUTION: The air treatment device for the kitchen includes: an oil removing means 4 arranged above a cooking means 2 for cooking foodstuffs in the kitchen and removing an oil content in exhaust air generated from the cooking means; an air blower 5 for air treatment for sending the exhaust air from the cooking means to the oil removing means; an outdoor air exhaust duct 8 for discharging the exhaust air passing through the oil removing means to the outdoor side; and an indoor air exhaust duct 7 for discharging the exhaust air passing through the oil removing means to the indoor side. The air treatment device for the kitchen further includes a switching means for switching the exhaust air passing through the oil removing means to the outdoor air exhaust duct or to the indoor air exhaust duct.
