PURPOSE: A controlling method of washing machine is provided to reduce consumption power and washing time by performing boiling washing step during the same set time irrelevant to a temperature of washing water. CONSTITUTION: A controlling method of washing machine is as follows. A boiling wash course for sterilizing and bleaching a laundry is selected(S10). Washing water is supplied to a drum(S30). A temperature of washing water is measured through a temperature measuring unit(S40). The washing water is heated by a heating unit during a preset heating time(S72). In boiling washing step, a drum is rotated during a preset progress time(S70). If the measured water temperature is lower than a preset temperature, a progressing time of boiling washing time is added(S60).
