Tellurium-containing compounds identified for use in a method of treating, or prophylaxis against, a viral infection caused by an influenza virus, uses thereof and pharmaceutical kits and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same, are disclosed. The tellurium-containing compounds disclosed herein are suitable for co-administration with an antiviral agent.
