<p>The present invention relates to a security system capable of storing still images, and more specifically, to a security system capable of storing still images which can easily analyze an event situation by obtaining a video that is taken by a video camera and securing a high-resolution still image with a camera having a continuous capturing function if an event such as a forced entry or an accident is sensed. According to the present invention, the security system capable of storing the still images comprises: a video camera which takes a picture of a monitoring region; an event sensing means which senses an event occurring within the monitoring region; a still image camera which takes a picture of the monitoring region in a higher resolution than the resolution of the video camera; a controlling means which controls so that the still image camera may take the picture of the monitoring region, if the event is sensed by the event sensing means; and a storage means which stores image data taken by the video camera and the still image camera.</p> |
