CERVICAL COLLAR HAVING HEIGHT AND CIRCUMFERENTIAL ADJUSTMENT

<p>A cervical collar (100) has a front component (102) formed from a compressible foam material and defines part of a tracheal opening (112). The collar also has a height adjustment mechanism (106) secured to the front component (102) which forms a substantially rigid border about the tracheal opening (112), and a sternum pad (104) formed from a compressible foam material. The height adjustment mechanism (106) selectively connects the front component (102) to the sternum pad (104) at a permanently locked position among a plurality of predefined distances along a curvature of the height adjustment mechanism (106) thereby permitting selective sizing of the trachea opening (112).</p>
