<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress or improve a degradation in quality of a received signal when a digital coherent reception method is applied. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus includes an information collection unit 13g which collects information regarding a reception method applied to each wavelength, and wavelength dispersion providing units 13c, 13d, and 13h which provide different wavelength dispersion amounts to an optical signal of a wavelength received using the digital coherent reception method and an optical signal of a wavelength received using a reception method other than the digital coherent reception method, based on the information regarding a reception method collected by the information collection unit 13g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
