METHOD FOR REPORTING AND ESTIMATING POWER HEADROOM, TERMINAL AND BASE STATION

A method for reporting and estimating power headroom, a terminal and a base station are provided. The Method for reporting power headroom includes: one carrier from multi-composition carriers is determined as a reporting carrier (S11); the transmission power headroom of the reporting carrier is reported to the base station, and the base station is notified to estimate the transmission power headroom of un-reporting carrier based on the transmission power headroom of the reporting carrier so as to obtain the transmission power headroom of the un-reporting carrier (S12); the un-reporting carrier is at least one carrier of the multi-composition carriers except the reporting carrier. The method reduces the signaling cost caused by reporting transmission power headroom without the terminal reporting the transmission power headroom of all the composition carriers.
