DISINFECTION APPARATUS FOR ESCALATOR HANDRAIL

A disinfection apparatus (200) for escalator handrail (102), in which the escalator comprises a driven handrail rotating almost simultaneously with the escalator's bearing surface and the disinfection apparatus (200) comprises a disinfectant holder (201), a flexible arm (202) set within the disinfectant holder (201), a friction wheel (203) supported by the flexible arm (202) contacting the top surface of the handrail (102), at least one assembly wheel (204) supported by the flexible arm (202) contacting the side surface of the handrail (102), and a transfer wheel (205) connected to the drive of the friction wheel (203) and supported by the flexible arm (202) to contact downwards the disinfectant in the disinfectant holder (201). The disinfection apparatus (200) can be used on the escalator handrail (102) enabling automatic applying or scraping the disinfectant on the handrail (102). This apparatus (200) features simple construction, and is capable of resolving the infection problem of escalator handrails in public occasions.
