A method and device for channel information feedback of a multi-carrier system are disclosed by the embodiment of the present invention, a channel information feedback flow in an LTE-A system is provided based on the channel information feedback technique in the prior LTE system and the special system requirements of the LTE-A system, by applying the technical solution provided by the embodiment of the present invention, the consistency between the channel information feedback pattern and the prior LTE system is maintained, the optimization of the system frequency selectivity gain is ensured better, the channel information of multiple carriers of the whole LTE-A is traversed effectively, and the system resources occupied by the information feedback are saved.
