<p>The present invention relates to an extractive-analytical method for determining tannins in raw materials and/or plant based products. In its broadest sense, it refers to the analytical determination of tannins starting with a pre-purifying stage intended to analyze monomers, independent of the total amount of phenols. The invention improves upon the chromatographic profile, making possible the separation and the quantification of tannins in raw materials and plant based products for analytical and preparative assessment. The method can be used for quality control in the food, pharmaceutical, and phytotherapy industries that contain plant based species rich in phenols.</p> |
