PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation structure of a battery capable of preventing short circuiting between a plus electrode post and a minus electrode post in the same battery, by a battery cable. SOLUTION: Two pieces of batteries 1A, 1B are connected in parallel by connecting plus electrode posts 2A with each other, or minus electrode posts 2B with each other by a plus battery cable 3A and a minus battery cable 3B. The plus battery cable 3A is provided with an insulating protective member 4 for regulating a movement range of either terminal part 33A or 33B so that, with either terminal part 33A or 33B in a state mounted on the plus electrode post 2A of either battery 1A or 1B, the other terminal part 33B or 33A is made in contact with the electrode post 2A with the same polarity of the other battery 1B or 1A, while, it is not in contact with the battery post 2B with a different polarity of the battery 1A or 1B.
