PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable animal model that enables the study of metastasis. SOLUTION: The present invention concerns a transgenic animal model for the analysis of tumor metastasis. The invention provides a new reproducible transgenic mouse model for the study of tumor metastasis. In particular, the invention concerns the study of tumor metastasis in a NOD/SCID/ycnulltransgenic mouse model. The present invention provides methods for the study of tumor metastasis, including the analysis of metastasis of cancer, in a transgenic (including knock out) rodent, such as mouse model.
