PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-supported type bag which can be used as a waste newspaper collecting bag or a garbage container, wherein the synthetic-resin-made flexible bag per se can stand alone so that an open state can be maintained. SOLUTION: In the bag is composed of a synthetic resin sheet having flexibility, a side part 5 except for the part for forming a bottom 6 when the bag is opened for use keeps the sheets adjacent to each other along the side 5a joined and processed, thereby forming a self-supporting part 10.
