PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for attaching a butt plug capable of preventing a butt plug from unexpectedly coming off and lost, through devising the structure of attaching the butt plug onto the main fishing rod. SOLUTION: The structure is such that: the butt end 1A of the main fishing rod 1 is firmly fixed with an intermediate attachment 4 to be screwed with a butt plug 3; an elastically deformable turning manipulator 2 for making the turning operation of the butt plug 3 is installed on the intermediate attachment 4 in a freely turnable way; the butt plug 3 attached to the intermediate attachment 4 is covered with the turning manipulator 2; and the turning manipulator 2 is subjected to nipping deformation to enable it to be butted on the butt plug 3.
