APPLICATION SERVER(AS) SUBSCRIPTION PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTERNET PROTOCOL MULTIMEDIA SUBSYSTEM(IMS)

A processing method and a system for Application Server (AS) subscription in Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), which are used to resolve the following technical problem: when a certain public user identity(PUI) is deleted, other PUIs in the implicit registration set which the deleted PUI belongs to will be unavailable, and Serving Call Session Control Function(S-CSCF) will be unable to transmit subscription information of the other PUIs which belong to the same implicit registration set with the deleted PUI to the AS. If the AS receives a notification that a certain PUI is deleted from an implicit registration set which the certain PUI belongs to, the AS will initiate new subscription requests to other PUIs in registered status, wherein the other PUIs and the deleted PUI are in the same implicit registration set. The processing system does not need to modify the framework of current IMS, therefore can avoid the impacts to other users in the entire service profile (SP) effectively when a certain PUI is deleted.
