The cell has an interdigital electrode system with electrode groups having interdigitated electrodes (1a, 1b), where the electrode system and a laminar electrode (3) are arranged at opposite sides of the cell. A surface of the laminar electrode corresponds to a surface of the electrode system, and a micromixer is arranged at the same side of the electrode system. The electrodes of the electrode system are arranged in microchannels of the micromixer such that a combined interdigital electrode-micromixer-system is formed. An independent claim is also included for a method for separating and/or accumulating polarized bioparticles.
