<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen device, a projector, a projector system and a failure notification method of the projector which easily notify a user of information on failure occurring in the projector. <P>SOLUTION: A control part detects the occurrence of the failure and performs operation for coping with the failure as necessary, when the failure occurs, that is, the lighting of a light source device goes wrong and the internal temperature of a housing remarkably rises. After that, the control part blinks an LED notification part with red to notify the user of the occurrence of the failure and stores failure information for displaying the contents of the failure in a storage part. After that, the control part stands by until the transmission key of an input operation part is operated by the user and transmits the failure information stored in the storage part from a transmission part, when the transmission key is operated.
