PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin hopper that prevents fraud or false detection. SOLUTION: The coin hopper is provided with a wrong-way prevention means which allows coins 102 to move from a rotating body 110 toward a discharge path 196 and prevents wrong-way insertion, which is arranged in the discharge path 196. The coin hopper has a wrong-way stopper 120 for the coins in a chevron gap between arc edges when the coins in the discharge path 196, the wrong-way stopper being rotatably supported to a rotation shaft in the upstream of the path. The other end is made of a bar-like body mounted on the bottom of the discharge path 196. The linear lower edge of the bar-like body is inclined downward toward a discharge slot, and the tip of the other end is orthogonal to the bottom of the discharge path 196.
