PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio output device without need of an amplifier for an external speaker when the external speaker is used. SOLUTION: The audio output device includes: a main unit including a terminal to connect the external speaker; a speaker unit to be detachably attached to the main unit while the terminal is covered with the speaker unit; and an amplifier unit to amplify an audio signal and input it to the terminal and the speaker unit.
