PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device which is capable of deploying and inflating an airbag between a vehicle body side part and a seat part during a side impact of the vehicle, adequately avoiding any contact of an object entering from a window part of the body side part into a cabin with an occupant by the airbag, and enhancing the occupant protective performance. SOLUTION: An airbag 21 is formed by coupling superposed peripheral edges of a body side part side cloth 21a and a seat part side cloth 21b. A side airbag device 20 deploys and inflates the airbag 21 between the body side part and an occupant P during a side impact of a vehicle. Coating for enhancing the adhesiveness is executed on an outer surface of the airbag 21, and on a surface of the body side part side cloth 21a, and the coated surface of the body side part side cloth 21a corresponds to a window part 42 of the body side part during the deployment and inflation of the airbag 21.
