PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual capping apparatus which can easily perform capping in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This manual type capping apparatus A includes: an elevating body 3 having a contact body 31 which performs capping by coming into contact with a screw cap c which is temporarily tightened on a container b; and an elevating means 4 which makes the elevating body 3 elevate. The elevating body 3 includes a male thread section 35a and a change nut 37 which convert part of the elevating motion of the elevating body 3 by the elevating means 4 into a rotating motion for rotating the contact body 31.
