REMOTE MANAGEMENT AND NETWORK ACCESS CONTROL, OF PRINTING DEVICE WITHIN SECURE NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for enabling remote management of printing devices and for providing access control of printing devices within secure health policy based networks.

SOLUTION: A printing device 102 transmits device status information 120 to a status server 104 and operational health information 118 to a compliance server 106. The compliance server 106 receives a health policy 128 for the network from the status server 104. The compliance server 106 evaluates the operational health information 118 using the health policy 128 and sets the printing device 102 for operations within a secure portion 110 of the network if the operational health information 118 is in compliance with the health policy 128.
