<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem in a stereoscopic video display device: an observer focuses on a display surface while matching a congestion angle of the eye at a point from which an object at which the observer gaze projects, and such mismatched actions induces fatigue of the eye if a projection amount or depression amount of the object is too large; and suitable feelings of depth for the observers are different by individual difference of the observers. <P>SOLUTION: In a parallax information detection part 1, parallax information T1 for each pixel is detected based on input image data Da1 for a left eye and input image data Db1 for a right eye, in a parallax adjustment part 2, adjusted parallax information T2 is calculated based on the parallax information T1 and the parallax adjustment information S1, and in an image generation part 3, adjustment image data Da2 for the left eye and adjustment image data Db2 for the right eye are generated and output based on the input image data Da1 for the left eye, the input image data Db1 for the right eye, and the adjusted parallax information T2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
