<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect privacy of a customer and secure safety of a transaction by allowing a customer himself or herself to perform a series of card settlement processing without separately preparing a connecting device or providing a special device for customer's operation on a transaction processor body. <P>SOLUTION: A display unit is detachable from a base. Upon card settlement, instructions of removing the display unit are announced. Individual identification information of the customer, who makes card settlement, is acquired and stored in a state of the display unit removed from the base. In addition, registration verification information to be compared with the individual identification information is acquired based on the information read from a card. When the display unit is mounted on the base, identity is verified based on the individual identification information stored by a verification information storage means and the registration verification information acquired by a registration information acquisition means, and when results of the individual identification by an identity verifying means are positive, the card settlement is permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
