<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a composite image of an enlargement portion obtained by enlarging one portion of the original image and a non-enlargement portion so that a difference in resolution between the enlargement portion and the non-enlargement portion is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: When a composite image is printed (S102:YES), if the number of pixels Ns of the enlargement portion calculated according to the size, enlargement rate, predetermined thinning-out rate of the enlargement portion is not more than the number of pixels Nmax of a portion corresponding to the enlargement portion of the image data of the original image (S106:YES), pixels of the image data of the original image are thinned out in the non-enlargement portion based on the predetermined thinning-out rate, and are thinned out in the enlargement portion based on a thinning-out rate smaller than the predetermined thinning-out rate, thereby generating print data (S107, S108). Meanwhile, if the number of pixels Ns exceeds the number of pixels Nmax (S106:NO), the pixels of the image data of the original image are thinned out in the non-enlargement portion based on the predetermined thinning-out rate, and are not thinned out in the non-enlargement portion, thereby generating print data (S109, S110). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
